Built on brotherhood.

Regular Boat Guys wasn't created in a boardroom. It was built from real experiences, long deployments, rough seas, and the kind of brotherhood you can't explain unless you've lived it.

My name is Omar, though most people know me as "Afif," and I'm a U.S. Navy veteran who spent years serving as a Gunner's Mate, including three overseas deployments and countless hours operating alongside some of the best people I've ever known.

Throughout my time in the Navy, I learned that it wasn't always about the rank on your chest, the awards you earned, or who had the biggest ego. It was about the people standing beside you. The ones who showed up, worked hard, embraced the suck, and somehow found a way to laugh even when everything went sideways.

That's where the idea for Regular Boat Guys came from.

I wanted to create something that represented the everyday guys who rarely get the spotlight. The boat crews, the maintainers, the watchstanders, and everyone who knows what it's like to put in the work without expecting recognition.

We're not special operators. We're not trying to be something we're not. We're just regular boat guys who took pride in what we did and the people we did it with.

RBG is my way of keeping that culture alive.

What started as an idea to represent our experiences became a brand built around brotherhood, humor, hard work, and a shared respect for those who served. That humor includes the silly memes we make about each other, the kind of good-natured jokes that bring the crew together and keep the memories alive.

Our apparel isn't about pretending to be someone you're not. It's about representing where you've been, what you've earned, and the friendships that stay with you long after the deployment ends.

Whether you've spent years on the water, served in another military community, or simply believe in hard work and loyalty, you're part of what RBG stands for.
